I had the pleasure of meeting up with Amy and her beautiful family a couple of weeks ago in Glen Mills, PA. They live in this incredible old house with these huge trees that the sun pops through! It was a gorgeous fall evening and the colors were in full force. I really LOVE doing family portait sessions. There is such a special bond between siblings and parents, and it really shows in these pics!

Olivia, a senior at Unionville High School has great family memories of the shore, so what better place to start! She has an awesome smile and was so much fun to work with. Since we also needed to get the family photos done that evening, we decided to finish the shoot the next week at the beautiful gardens at Gibraltar in Wilmington, DE. Here are a couple of my fav’s. I’ve been trying to catch up with my cousin Jeni to take some pictures of her adorable kids! We met at the beautiful gardens at Gibraltar in Greenville De. The kids were super excited, and had a ton of fun! Aren’t they just so cute! it is so funny how much these children resemble their mother when she was growing up. She is the little sister I never had!

Jon and I grew up together coming to Avalon every summer with our families. It was a house filled with lots of kids, crabbing on the dock and many long exciting days at the beach. We would play and ride the waves so hard that by 1pm, we would have to nap. Our fathers would take us into Hennys during happy hour and we would sit on their laps and listen to music. Does anyone remember the movie theatre on the Pier at 30th St? We saw Jaws one late night and came out the back door which looked over the ocean… spooky!! It’s so special to now see our chidren enjoying those same memories! Thanks Sara for being such a wonderul assistant!

When Mike first called to tell me they were looking for a special family portait on the beach, I instantly knew why the moment I met the family. The parents really knew the meaning of true love. We went on to get some formal and not so formal portraits, and had a ton of fun. (Judy I won’t post the pyramid photos!!!) It was a picture perfect night in Avalon! The photo below was picked and will proudly hang as a Canvas Gallery Wrap in their home over the fireplace.

These young ladies had so much energy they were bursting at the seams! Sometimes at a photography session I smile so much that it hurts… this was definately the case with this family!

When Debbie called to speak with us about portraits, she told us her son was going off to West Point in the next couple of days. She was hoping to get some portraits of her son who has been lifeguarding in Avalon. Both places are very near and close to my heart, so I could not turn her down.

When Terri first called our studio, she was looking for a photographer to photograph her family in Ocean City, MD.  Since we are in Avalon NJ, that’s a bit of a hike!  I felt honored when Terri said she had not found any other photograpers work that she liked better, and would we consider coming over to the Delaware beaches?  We turned it into a wonderful little family vacation, and took the Cape May Lewis Ferry over to visit some relatives and do the photo shoot.   We could not have asked for a more beautiful evening, and don’t they look like models?

I remember coming to Avalon as a child with my parents on vacation. When this family called me to tell me they used to come here every year as kids, it brought back such good childhood memories of me playing with my cousins! I know these kids will also be having wonderful memories of the best times in Avalon! It was a very windy night on the beach, but we managed to capture some fun times!

When I saw this little girl my heart just wanted to melt! She was so much fun at the beach! The whole family was very full of life! Look at the expressions on those little boys!

When I got this call that there were 5 year old triplets, I was wondering how I was going to pull this off. But…These 3 little guys were the most behaved kids I have ever seen! From the first moment we hit the sand, they kept me going, and were very entertaining! I made mention of the 3 Stooges, and dad said “That’s what we call them”!

This grandmom came to us with the request of a family photograph on the beach.  We picked a beautiful spot in Avalon NJ, and lucky we got this one in, because nature took it’s course right after this shot.  The wind picked up and the kiddos got very cold! 

This family came to us because they wanted to do something special for their mom and dad for their anniversary.  The whole family gathered in Avalon for a reunion, and this portrait was taken on their wedding anniversary 50 years to the day on the beach!  We have enjoyed so much working with Beth, Charlie and Peggy.  Congratulations!
